Kinark Child and Family Services developed the first DOS version of the Client Information System (CIS) in 1990 and since that time Kinark has used the CIS throughout all our program areas.
The CIS was offered to other children's mental health agencies in Ontario. In each case Kinark helped to adapt the original version to suit the needs of individual agencies.
Feedback from internal and external users was tremendous, but a need for a Windows-based version was consistently identified. In response to this demand, Kinark’s team of system experts developed the CIS for Windows. Currently there are 40+ social services agencies of all types using the CIS successfully across Ontario.
Now the next generation of Kinark's Client Information System (KIDS - Kinark Information Database System) is now available. KIDS uses the latest technologies to deliver a reliable, fast and stable client database with a feature-rich, easy-to-navigate user interface. The KIDS system is powerful and flexible enough to be modified for virtually any social services agency requirements. Kinark has an ongoing commitment to develop and enhance the KIDS system to meet the changing needs of government, management, and the user.
