KIDS is developed using the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language. It uses Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the database. The client will run under Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista. The server (in network environments) must be Windows 2000 Server.
As a service provider, Kinark understands the importance of system security. KIDS comes with multiple preconfigured levels of security access. Access can be modified further for each worker/client combination to ensure users have access to only the information they need.
KIDS is easily adapted for use by any service provider. Each agency can set up their own definitions of services, geographic locations, presenting problems, referral sources, etc.
