Volunteering at Kinark
The youth in your community need you.
At Kinark, volunteers play a vital role in helping children, youth and their families make it through difficult times.
Volunteers offer a kind of support that often cannot be measured ... a friendly ear, a chance for a break, being a friend, new adventures and experiences.
Whether you volunteer a few hours a week, a day or an evening each month, your contribution will be of great value to a child or parent.
Who are Kinark volunteers?
They are women and men from a variety of backgrounds.
They are people of diverse ages and backgrounds.
As a volunteer you can work directly with children and families, lend your expertise on boards or committees, assist with fund raising or advocacy or provide transportation to clients. All our volunteer roles play an important part in the success of the agency and the positive outcomes with clients.
As a Kinark volunteer, our professional staff will provide you with:
- Ongoing training
- Clinical and program support
- Opportunities for ongoing feedback and evaluation
- Ideas for outings, events, what to do
