New Ontario Autism Program Announcement from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services
On March 29, 2016, the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) announced further details of an investment of $333 million over the next five years to improve and expand autism services so that more children receive critical intervention earlier and services are better matched to their needs.
The plan is intended to improve and expand autism services so that children receive the right supports at the right time with the goal of providing more children with flexible and individualized services, based on evidence. Additionally the plan sets out to reduce wait times for service and to make it easier for families to access services.
