School Support Program – Autism Spectrum Disorder (SSP-ASD)
Kinark’s School Support Program-ASD provides consultation to teaching staff and school board personnel, working in Ontario’s publicly funded schools, to support school-aged children who have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The program enhances the knowledge and skills of school board staff in evidence-based teaching strategies to support students with ASD in the classroom.
SSP-ASD also serves as a link between schools, Boards of Education, community-based service agencies and Transition
Coordinators regarding issues pertaining to students
with an ASD.
