Growing Our Reach & Impact
Content
This year, Kinark continued to expand its reach, ensuring more children, youth, and families could access timely, responsive, and effective services. This growth reflects increasing need across Ontario and a sustained focus on innovation, quality, and accessibility. By adapting services to evolving needs, we have strengthened our impact while maintaining a high standard of care.
This momentum is reflected in our Fee for Service Autism supports, where strong demand led to a 34% increase in revenue and more than 1,000 clients served. A renewal rate of 62% highlights the trust families place in these flexible, personalized services. Across the broader autism portfolio, Kinark also met and exceeded targets in Ontario Autism Program (OAP)-funded services, including Foundational Family Services, Caregiver Mediated Early Years, Entry to School, and Connections for Students. These results demonstrate both operational strength and our ability to deliver meaningful outcomes in partnership with the broader system.
Efforts to improve access were implemented across multiple services, and Kinark successfully reduced wait times for mental health services by 15% in 2025/26. The expansion of Triple P Parenting in Durham, Northumberland, Simcoe, and Peterborough increased consistency and reduced waitlists through more group-based offerings, supporting families earlier in their journey. In Child and Youth Mental Health services, adjustments to clinical targets and caseloads supported earlier intervention and improved timeliness, helping ensure care is available when it is most needed.
Innovation has further supported this work by reducing barriers and aligning services with real-world needs. Initiatives such as the iCBT March Break Camp for youth provided targeted mental health support during a period when access is often limited, demonstrating how responsive programming can extend impact.
Together, these efforts reflect an intentional approach to growth that connects service expansion, improved access, and innovation, strengthening Kinark’s ability to support children, youth, and families across Ontario.
