About Triple P

Triple P is an evidence-based parenting program that help parents manage their child’s behaviours more effectively, especially in the context of mental health challenges.Working in alignment with Kinark’s programs, Triple P helps parents build stronger connections with their children, manage behaviour positively, and foster lasting, positive change within the family.

Triple P is designed to be with parents on every step of their journey, providing help and guidance to families when they need it. It aims to create supportive family environments, and to prevent, as well as treat, behavioural and emotional problems in children and teenagers.

With 40 years of in-depth research, Triple P programs have proven their worth to millions of parents around the world. The programs take a positive, non-judgmental approach to parenting, offering tools and strategies for establishing a secure bond with children and overcoming common behavioural and emotional challenges.

Triple P offers flexible and personalized programs with proven results that provide practical, easy-to-use strategies to help parents build confidence and competence. With a strong family-focused approach, Triple P offers support for every family, no matter their situation. These strategies align with the principles of ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis), supporting the goals of Kinark’s programs.

Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) offers one-on-one sessions, group sessions, self-directed online programs, workshops and webinars that are designed to support parents in different situations. All Triple P programs are available in group or individual formats, mostly virtual, with in-person options available upon request.

Programs offered:

The programs are mostly virtual (group or one-on-one), with in-person options available upon request, subject to a waitlist. Session lengths vary by program: one-on-one sessions typically last 4-10 weeks, group workshops run 4-8 sessions, and online programs are self-paced.

Our CYMH Central Intake is available at 1‑888‑454‑6275 on Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. to answer your questions, guide you through the referral process, and more.
